Everyday Heroes in Action: American Legion Post 63 Blood Drives

American Legion Post 63 continues its tradition of service by hosting blood drives in partnership with OneBlood, providing a vital lifeline to those in need. In 2025 alone, 37 generous donors stepped forward at Post 63 events – an effort that helped save an estimated 111 lives. These numbers represent more than statistics; they reflect compassion, community, and commitment in action.

Blood donors are everyday heroes. With a simple, selfless act, they make an immediate and measurable difference for accident victims, surgical patients, and individuals battling serious illnesses. For veterans and community members alike, donating blood is a powerful way to continue a legacy of service beyond the uniform – protecting lives just as they once protected our nation.

Looking ahead to 2026, American Legion Post 63 invites everyone to join this mission. Eligible donors can give blood every eight weeks, allowing them to help save three lives per donation. By attending our upcoming blood drives, you can stand alongside fellow community members and veterans in an ongoing act of service that truly matters. Together, through regular blood donation, we can continue to serve – selflessly, locally, and heroically.
