On Monday, May 26, 2025, American Legion Post 63 and the City of Winter Garden hosted a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Memorial Day. This patriotic event took place in Veterans Memorial Park and was led by David Kassander, Commander of the American Legion Post 63. Keynote speakers included District 11’s Congressman – Daniel Webster, the Mayor for the City of Winter Garden – John Rees, and the reigning Ms. Veteran America – Cassandra Guzman.
